Associations

  • 1970, participated in the creation of the Audubon Conservationist Association of Venezuela.

  • 1975, participated in the Foundation for the Defence of Nature (Fudena), Fudena was the first organization to collect funds, mainly from abroad, to drive area and species conservation projects. Fundena began in association with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF).

  • 1985, the Venezuelan Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums was created, and presided by Pedro Trebbau since it was he who led the initiative.

  • 1988, the first steps were taken to create the Latin-American Zoological Parks and Aquariums Association (ALPZA by its acronym in Spanish), where Venezuela gained significant recognition for its founding role.

  • 1989, Pedro Trebbau was a part in the team of advisors for the preparation of a new Wild Fauna Law. The law was never passed.
